This is a 8" tall selenite tower, hand carved by skilled artisans in Morocco.
Selenite is a crystalline variety of the mineral gypsum, formed primarily by the evaporation of mineral-rich saltwater. As water bodies in ancient seas, caves, or saline lakes dried up, the concentrated calcium sulfate and other dissolved minerals precipitated and crystallized.
