6.76" Silurian Crinoid (Scyphocrinites) Fossil - Erfoud, Morocco (#501)

This is an authentic 6.76" long fossil of the crinoid species Scyphocrinites elegans, quarried from a fossiliferous formation near Erfoud that is Silurian in age, or approximately 420 million years old. It is a beautiful display piece that makes the perfect addition to any collection.

This specimen comes with an acrylic display stand.

Note: The specimen is a composite created with real crinoid fossils collected from the same area and is assembled extremely close to how they originally appeared when whole, since pristine specimens are very rarely preserved.
