3.88" Ophiura Brittle Star Fossil - Morocco

This remarkable limestone slab features a 3.88" wide, Ordovician-aged (approximately 450 million-year-old) Ophiura brittle star fossil from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. The oxidation of iron pyrite naturally causes the orange coloration.
