Experience the thrill of opening your own geode and being the first person to witness the stunning crystal formations inside since their formation. This is a whole uncracked quartz geode from Morocco. Most of these geodes will likely not be oddly shaped as they are naturally occuring. Inside, the crystals will most likely be clear quartz and can sometimes have a red stain due to the prsecence of iron, but some may also be mostly or completely solid.

Most geodes form when gas bubbles or cavities in volcanic or sedimentary rocks fill with minerals over long periods. Silica-rich water seeps into these cavities, and as it evaporates or cools, minerals like quartz, amethyst, or calcite crystallize inward, creating a hollow, crystal-lined sphere. The outer shell, often agate or chalcedony, hardens to protect the delicate crystals inside.
